Cynthia McCorkindale - Vocals

Classically trained, but with a sensibility that is distinctly jazz, Cynthia McCorkindale has earned a place alongside the world's most tasteful and talented singers. She is also a vocal coach, and over the course of her career, was an adjunct faculty member of Wooster School and has presented master vocal classes at the British-Irish Institute of Modern Music (BIMM). Over the years, Cynthia has sung in a variety of venues in the U.S. and Europe, including the London’s Café Royal, Pizza Express and the Tenor Clef. She has also been a soloist in performances with the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra, the New England Symphony Orchestra and the Connecticut Master Chorale.

Cynthia's first CD, "Meant To Be Blue," features a late-night New York jazz vibe, with an extraordinary rhythm section comprising Andy Ezrin on piano, David Finck on bass, and Tony Reedus on drums. Her second CD, “Bistro Blue,” features songs from the Great French Songbook, features guitarist Frank Vignola, bassist Sean Smith and Rich Zukor on drums. Bistro Blue has been distributed worldwide.

Both CDs have been well-received, however, Bistro Blue enjoys widespread airplay and was selected as one of the featured CDs on National Public Radio's "All Songs Considered." It continues to receive critical acclaim and enthusiastic reviews.

Cynthia attended the Boston Conservatory of Music, and has shared the stage with such luminaries as Paul Winter, Bill Mays, Clark Terry, Nat Reeves, and the late Dave Brubeck, who, when asked to describe Bistro Blue exclaimed, "Bistro Blue? C'est si bon!"
