On Friday, August 15th, at 6.30pm in Old Rectory Gardens, Felpham, PO22 7EB, 6.30pm, the Felpham Village Conservation Society History Group is holding a commemoration for the VJ Day 80th anniversary, marking the end of WW2 in the Far East. This will be a short but important ceremony marking the end of the "Forgotten Warβ. While Europe partied on VE Day, in May of 1945, civilians and Allied military continued to endure in the fight for freedom in the Far East.
During the event, a memorial will be unveiled as a tribute to all those brave souls, passing the memory of their sacrifice to generations to come.
