Join us on Wednesday, May 15, from 6 to 9 pm EDT at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens for an exclusive evening where art and history converge. This month's Vizcaya Late features a takeover by CAP Lab, showcasing contemporary art projects by the talented students of the New World School of the Arts.
CAP Lab, an extension of Vizcaya’s Contemporary Arts Program, is a program that allows university students to work with Vizcaya commissioned artists, create site-specific work, and to deepen and hone their artistic practices. This year’s CAP theme is “the kitchen is the heart of the home.” At this special one-night exhibit, you’ll see work throughout the museum taking inspiration from the different facets of the historic home’s kitchen.
Don't miss this unique opportunity to explore both new and historical artworks commissioned specifically for the estate.
ACTIVITIES
- Last Call: Experience "Vizcaya's Kitchen and the Clafoutis Sonata," an installation by the mother-daughter artist duo Karla Caprali and Sophia Cabral. This exhibit will close at the end of May—make sure to catch it before it's gone!

- Video Insights: A special video about the CAP Lab program will be shown in the Courtyard starting at 7:30 pm, offering deeper insights into the artists' creative journey.
- Culinary Delights: Enjoy delicious offerings from Vizcaya’s Café—perfect for a dinner or a quick snack. Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase with a valid ID.
