Kansas City has a vibrant community of working jazz musicians, yet women comprise only 10 percent of the workforce. Kansas City Jazz ALIVE wants to know why! Join us for a Vivid Visions panel discussion with our moderator, Steve Kraske, as we ask our panelists to help us understand this gender disparity. Our guest panelists, Aryana Nemati (saxophonist), Jackie Myers (pianist) and Kara Smith (vocalist) will share their thoughts on how to make the Kansas City jazz scene an all-inclusive environment.
