Two of music’s most popular choral works are coming to Wellington in November. The Wellington Male Voice Choir’s third concert of 2024 promises to be a special event, with the long-established male choir joining forces with the highly accomplished Wairarapa Singers to perform Vivaldi’s Gloria and excerpts from Handel’s Messiah.
These wonderful examples of Baroque classical music will be performed in Wellington at the St James Anglican Church in Woburn Road, Lower Hutt, starting at 4pm on Saturday 23 November. Tickets can be purchased online through the choir’s website, www.wellingtonmvcnz.org; the ticketing agency Eventbrite, www.eventbrite.co.nz; or by cash door sales on the day of the concert. This will be the second of two performances by this massed choir of these works – the first will be on Saturday 16 November, starting at 4pm, at the St Matthew’s Anglican Church in Church St, Masterton.
