About this Event
Vivaldi, the Red Priest Revisited
In a world where news headlines are dominated by war, political strife, and natural disasters, Vivaldi, the Red Priest Revisited brings joy, hope and healing through music. ISing Choir, under the direction of Stephen Galván, presents an innovative program of familiar and not-so-familiar music by Antonio Vivaldi. The concert begins with music colored by the darkness of winter and despair. Gradually, Vivaldi takes the listener out of dispiritedness to joy, culminating with the popular “Gloria” and the Spring movement from the “Four Seasons” rewritten for choir. ISing will perform in an antiphonal choir formation and will be joined by Dan Miller on organ, the Big Horn Brass Quintet and members of the Portland Chamber Orchestra. Countertenor Loren Masánqué will be a guest soloist.
Come join us for a special evening at Cedar Hills United Church of Christ as we revisit the timeless works of the renowned composer Antonio Vivaldi.
