Jordon Pollard — piano, Ben Walkenhauer — saxophoneJordan Pollard is a jazz pianist originally from Minnesota, where she started gigging at age 15. From 2006-2012 she gigged and taught in San Antonio TX, including an original works group called the San Antonio Jazz Workshop. She’s been local to Cincinnati since 2012 where she freelances - some of her reoccurring venues include Dee Felice Cafe, Blue Note Bistro, Greenwich, Schwartz’s Point Jazz & Acoustic Club, and she can be seen weekly on Sundays with Ron Enyard at Lydia’s on Ludlow and on Mondays at the Stanley’s Pub Jazz Jam.
Jordan earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies from the University of MN-Duluth and a Masters of Music in Jazz Studies from UC's College-Conservatory of Music. During her studies, Jordan was fortunate to have numerous opportunities to travel, perform with top-tier professionals, and even take occasional lessons from pianists Billy Taylor, Kenny Werner, and George Cables. She’s been composing since 2002 and thoroughly enjoys exploring her and others' compositions in this trio setting - she, Ben Bratton, and Matt McCoy have been playing at least weekly for the past three years as they share hosting duties Monday nights.
Ben Walkenhauer is a professional saxophonist and clarinetist based in Cincinnati. He is active with many different bands and artists playing many different styles of music. Some of these include The Cincinnati Contemporary Jazz Orchestra, The Blue Wisp Big Band, Mandy Gaines, The Faux Frenchmen, The Bluebirds, The Cincinnati Transit Authority, and many others.
$10 drink minimum charged per person in the party, per set, if the total for beverages purchased by the party does not meet the minimum.
