The Mexican Independence Day, Viva Mexico Festival is on Saturday 6th of September from 2pm.
Private room in The Botanic Inn, 23-27 Malone Road, Belfast.
Kids have free entrance and all activities thanks to the Belfast City Council Bank of Ideas grant that partially cover the event.
2:00-5:00 pm ┃KIDS CRAFTS AND FACE PAINT ┃Exciting workshops where children and adults can unleash their artistic talents through various activities like painting, crafting, and more. We are having face painting for all! Fancy a luchador face?
4:00-5:00 pm ┃PIÑATAS AND KIDS DISCO ┃Get ready to groove on the dance floor.
FOOD ┃ Selling homemade and real Mexican food (tamales, chorizo, quesadillas, birria, pozole, tacos, tortillas) by El Antojo Dublin, Balam, Musho Picoso, El Huastecan, and more Please, bring cash. Elso Casa and La morena will be selling crafts and Mexican products.
5:00-8:00 pm | TRADITIONAL FOLKLORIC DANCE AND MARIACHI ┃ Carlos Carrasco will sing some Mexican classics and will host the independence “Grito” followed by a performance by the Mexican Dance Belfast company by Mayte Segura and then Mariachi San Patricio will play.
8pm-1am ┃DANCE & MUSIC ┃ DJ Marcelo will play Reggaeton, Salsa, Cumbia, Ranchera… Just Latin music all night long. Bring your dancing shoes and your best moves!
Children can stay until 8 pm, from 8pm onwards 18+.
Adult ticket £15 and all activities. Kids are free but must select a ticket for the activities.
£5 for adult entrance from 7pm.
