VITAMIN C
Emerging from the Covid pandemic and missing that visceral, real sense of community from local LIVE music, DJs, pubs and clubs; old friends Andy Wake (The Phantom Band) and Vic Galloway (BBC Radio) decided to start an eclectic night in their home city, with the altruistic subtext of 'Music is the Answer'.
Naming the night after the infamous CAN song 'Vitamin C', and using their soon to be infamous lemon logo, the monthly night promises a LIVE act and guest DJ, alongside residents Galloway and Wake. The playlist will include psych, dub, krautrock, cosmic disco, jazz, post punk, African, rock'n'roll, soul, paradise classics, Arabic/Asian funk & rarities. All the good stuff basically, and everyone's invited!!
As much-loved community hub, and Vic's local, 'Leith Depot' decided to restructure and reopen their LIVE space in January 2023, the timing and location seemed perfect for the duo to base the night there. The Depot loves Leith, good music, drinks and food... and so does Vitamin C!
This months special guest bütter will be performing LIVE, followed by a Guest DJ set from Barney Strachan.
