About this Event
This session will focus on teaching visual literacy in the classroom. In an image saturated world, how do we learn how to observe and think critically about images and discuss them with others? Participants will engage in dialogue around multiple works of art from Long Beach City College faculty, engage in a mindful artmaking project and several strategies for practicing critical observation and conversations in the classroom.
Refreshments will be provided.
This session will take place at LBMA Downtown.
The Long Beach Museum of Art Professional Development is generously supported by The Earl B. and Loraine H. Miller Foundation
