Monday's 6 to 7:30 PM (12 hours of class time)

**There will be no class on September 23, due to the instructor traveling and working a convention**
Class Cost: $225
**This class is the sequel to Visual Art Foundation 101, however if you are already familiar with the Elements of Art this course will help you with the next step. If you haven't learned about the Elements of Art, there will be other opportunities for that course in the future**
Suitable for Middle School, High School and Adults
**This class can be taken by anyone ages 12 and up, this includes middle schoolers, high schoolers and adults. At this point the motor skills it takes to draw have been fully developed and middle schoolers, high schoolers and adults can be taught the same set of skills. Everyone is always at a different starting point when it comes to drawing and you see this often in group classes. This class is suitable for beginners within that age range.**
Class Description: In this class we will focus on foundational art skills. Specifically you will learn the Principals of Design. These include: Pattern, Contrast, Emphasis, Balance, Proportion/ Scale,
Harmony and Rhythm/Movement. You will learn how these core principal's will help your compositions in illustration or in graphic design. These principals are foundational to growing your skills as an artist and making strong pieces of artwork.
Materials: (Must bring your own materials - all of these materials can be used for multiple classes)
- Sketchbook For Planning (8.5x11 is the preferred size or larger. We will not be working any smaller)
**As a reminder any sketchbook purchased for classes at Inkspitter Studio can be used in multiple classes**
- Erasers - white vinyl eraser and white vinyl mechanical eraser
- Artist Pencils (ranging from 2H to 6B minimum)
- Colored Pencils (at least a 24 pack for varying color)
This is an in person class located at Inkspitter Studio within Lowe Mill A&E in Huntsville, AL. Located directly inside Door 2.
