About this Event
See a demonstration of Artec Eva scanning equipment and learn how DittoForm Michigan LLC uses it to capture 3D digital images of real people. Those images are used to create foam models of the subjects. In the sewing world, these models are called custom dress forms and are used in the process of clothing and costume design.
Hear from Carol Huls, DittoForm's president and CEO, about the small company’s history and her own unexpected journey into entrepreneurship.
Carol Huls
Carol describes herself as an "accidental entrepreneur." When the original founders/owners of DittoForm were ready to move on to new projects, Carol decided she was ready for a challenge and an adventure. Running a small manufacturing company has proven to be both. She credits her success to the ability to acknowledge what she doesn’t know and find someone who does within her strong professional network. She believes that surrounding yourself with interesting people, cultivating creativity and innovation, and having a strong but flexible plan are the keys to happiness in life and success in business. She has a quirky sense of humor and a personal goal to find something that makes her laugh every day. She believes each and every person is unique — no one is standard — and that that fact makes the world a more beautiful place.
