At Vision Connection, we will be showcasing a variety of adaptive sports and activities that are accessible to everyone. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just looking to try something new, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. United in Stride connects blind and low-vision individuals with guides for outdoor activities.
Chris Jeckel from Touching the Sky - a Documentary. This documentary follows a blind man as he rediscovers a sense of play through acroyoga.
NW Association of Blind Athletes provides life-changing opportunities through sports and physical activity to individuals who are blind or visually impaired.
Outdoors for All provides instruction and outdoor activities to people with disabilities. They are best known for their snow-based activities.
Adaptive Yoga is a program provided through the Department of Services for the Blind (DSB) and led by Alice Klein.
Rainier Adaptive Sports specializes in providing a mix of sports and recreational opportunities.
Jenelle Landgraf, MSW, LICSW from Peaks and Valleys Healings incorporates mind-body practices into her work as a mental health clinician.
Seattle Adaptive Sports connects athletes and the community with opportunities to compete, learn, and grow.
Immediately following the event, those interested will have the opportunity to try a short guided walk or run along the Burke-Gilman Trail.
