Vision Carthage is teaming up with the Carthage Police Department, Public Works, and Parks & Recreation to provide a FREE community cleanup event! Back by popular demand, this event will provide Carthage residents with an opportunity to get rid of a variety of unwanted items. Scrap metal, *tires, and bulky items like mattresses will be accepted.
While this event is open to Carthage residents outside of city limits, proof of a Carthage address will be required.
To avoid early dumping and to maximize space, we've moved our location for this event to the Fair Acres Sports Complex parking area on George E Phelps Blvd. Dumpsters will be secured behind the fence in that area.
*We will be accepting our first 200 tires for recycling free of charge. After that, a $5 recycling fee will be requested per tire.
Special thanks to our cleanup partners making this event possible: The McCune Brooks Healthcare Foundation, The Jim Alyssa Hunter Team - Pro 100 Realtors, Reliable Rolloffs, Region M Waste Management, Innovative Industries, and Republic Services.
Our event will end at noon or when our dumpsters reach capacity. The Carthage Recycling Center will have a limited number of recycling vouchers available for those who are unable to make it through our line in time.
