About this Event
Join us for a special evening of creativity, reflection, and intention-setting as we dive into the process of creating a vision board through collage! This workshop is designed to give you the space to pause, reflect on the year ahead, and connect with your inner desires and values—no creative skills required!
What to Expect:
In this supportive environment led by Green Door Therapists Bridget Caragher and Amanda Shafer, you’ll be guided to explore your goals, dreams, and the feelings you want to cultivate in the coming months. We’ll provide a variety of materials—magazines, scissors, glue, and boards—to help you create a visual representation of your hopes for the future or “vibes” you’d like to move towards in the new year. Through the art of collage, you’ll intuitively select images that resonate with you, allowing the process to unfold naturally and without pressure.
Why This is Meaningful:
Writing down goals and making them visual can significantly increase the likelihood of you engaging in actions towards our values. Your vision board will serve as a powerful reminder of your intentions, giving you something concrete to return to throughout the year.
While life is unpredictable, this exercise invites you to lean into what feels meaningful, true, and good to you. The images and themes that emerge in your collage might offer surprising insights. For example, if you find yourself drawn to images of nature, it could be a signal that you need more time outdoors or a reminder to incorporate a sense of peace and grounding into your life. The goal isn’t to predict the future or control outcomes—it’s to tap into what feels right and further align your actions with your deeper desires.
Share and Connect:
If you feel comfortable, we’ll also have a space to share your collage and thoughts with the group. This isn’t a requirement, but we find that when we share our intentions with others, we often gain new perspectives and deepen our sense of connection. Whether you prefer to work quietly or share your journey, this evening is about creating a space for you to show up as you are.
What You’ll Need:
Just bring yourself! We’ll provide all the materials, but feel free to bring any magazines, photos, or personal items that resonate with your intentions. Come with an open mind and heart, ready to explore and create.
