Ali will be sharing the fundamentals of how to use the ‘incredibusy’ darning loom, handmade in the UK from salvaged materials, the design inspired by the original 1950s speed loom. This is a handcrafted tool designed to simplify the process of darning and repairing small snags in fabric.
The ticket price includes all materials plus a delicious veggie lunch (and mid-morning refreshments) at the restorative setting of Albion Nights. There'll also be an option to purchase your own incredibusy salvaged speed loom at the end of the day.
We suggest that you bring along with you, a sock, or something with a small hole to repair and practice on.
You will come away from this relaxing Beginner workshop with the knowledge of basic loom repair stitches, and the chance to give your favourite garments a longer, well-loved life.
