Bring your projects and learn how to keep your favorite fashion pieces in action, breathe new life into any old article of clothing, or just add fun decoration! You will learn two techniques, needle felting and hand sewing, and then have the option to work on all of your projects with guidance and direction from your fiber arts educator, Èirigh.
This is an heirloom skill you will have forever! Once you know the basics, you can continue developing your new skill into a host of creative endeavors.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The class will be part demonstration for both techniques and part hands on for participant practice. The three hour period will allow for group instruction/demo with allotted time for participants to work independently and receive individual guidance and instruction along the way.
All mending materials will be provided, including your own felting needle to take home. You just bring the garments you wish to embellish! Repairs are not required, you are welcome to simply bring garments to create on.
Note: if you have specific colors you wish to match, you may want to bring that thread, fabric or wool in case the color you want is not in the provided materials.
Materials + Snacks + Drinks are provided.
This class is hosted at the Wild Arts Learning studio in Springfield, MO. The address will be emailed upon booking.
