About this Event
Visible mending/SashikoWorkshop in Omni Commons Sewing Lab / No-Money Market Eco-Exchange
Come join the practice and mindset of visible mending and upcycling your garments with our textile steward/teacher, Jane @nicheknits. Sashiko is a versatile Japanese stitching and embroidery technique that's based on a running stitch to stabilize cloth. There'll be a small stitch dictionary handout for review as we cover the basics of fabric reinforcement and embellishment! Enjoy the slow transformation of your piece into something more sustainable and unique. A small $5 donation would be appreciated to primarily cover supply/material costs, but NOTAFLOF.
