Join our monthly Visible Mending Club and repair/transform clothing into sustainable wearable art! Whether you're new to sewing or a seasoned pro, our supportive stitch community welcomes everyone. Inspired by the Japanese textile arts of Sashiko and Boro, we'll explore techniques to repair and enhance your favorite garments while practicing the mindful art of slow stitching.Bring worn jeans, shirts, or any items you'd like to revive—or use our provided materials to practice. We'll have free patch fabric, tools, and thread available. At the heart of our club is a "Learning Together" approach, where creativity flourishes through community connections, and every stitch (even the unexpected ones!) becomes part of the journey.
This is a free and fun club open to most ages (sharp needles might be dangerous for the littles.)
