The Victorian period is an enduring source of fascination, romance, and inspiration. The literature and aesthetics of this era remain touchstones for occult and witchcraft subcultures today.
And yet…
What types of magic were actually practiced during the 19th century?
How can we incorporate authentic Victorian style and inspiration into our magic today?
What primary literary sources exist from the Victorian era –
How did Victorian practitioners of magic describe their craft?
This class will answer all of these questions and more, with an emphasis on the practical ways that the spirit of the Victorian age can add elegance, charm, and poetic grace to the magic we work today.
