About this Event
THE TOPIC: During the Gilded Age, Embassy Row became the glimmering center for the wealthy, the politically-connected, and the socially elite. This tour traces the notable women who called this neighborhood home, the good (and bad) trouble that they stirred up, and how women still shape the worlds of politics, journalism, and society today.
THE DETAILS: A recording of the tour will be available for one week before expiring. Join us on Zoom to communicate with our tour guide in real time! Share comments and messages through the chat box during the tour or hop on video after the program for a meet and greet. This tour is a digital presentation in which our public historians highlight places relevant to women's history in the Washington, DC area. This is not a live tour through the city but rather a presentation of multimedia resources accompanied by professional storytelling.
TOHO SERVICES: Membership packages offer benefits and partnership opportunities for live and virtual experiences in THE LINEUP and other TOHO services. Private tours and book talks are available for scheduling upon request. Register to receive emails and stay in the loop!
