About this Event
In line with the opening of our new exhibition BUILDING, the Farrell centre will be launching its own Minecraft club. This bi-weekly club will explore the potential of Minecraft as a tool to understand Architecture, Design and City Planning. Farrell Centre Staff will set Minecraft design and build challenges for participants and offer a space for gamers and their parents to come together and share the worlds they have created.
Important information:
Participants must bring their own device to play on and be accompanied by an adult throughout. There will be refreshments for both gamers and Adults.
These sessions will be played in Creative Mode, participants will be provided with a unique Seed Code at the start of each session which they must build within.
29th June – Thoughtful Design
We will think about how buildings are used and how this impacts their design, looking at prominent public buildings, playgrounds and civic spaces across the world first as inspiration. Gamers will be given different activities; they must create spatial and architectural designs to suit.
