About this Event
Students will learn gun safety rules, proper operation of semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety. Upon completion of the online portion of the course, students will then participate in live-fire training exercises. Successful completion of this course will qualify each student to receive their Virginia concealed carry permit. Use of a Glock 17 pistol, 50 rounds of 9mm ammunition, eye protection and ear protection is included. Students may use their own firearm but must provide 50 rounds of appropriate caliber ammunition (factory grade only, no re-loaded ammunition).
