Recruiting runners and walkers to join my team Miles of Smiles for Julie. Teams can be up to 12 members. If I get more than that interested, I will create a second team. Registration for this event opens on January 1, 2025. Anyone seeing this is welcome to join regardless of ability although I am creating this event now so that you have time to train up! 😎 If you would like to come out to support/hang out and maybe do a lap or two with the team without signing up for the event, that is fine as well, we would love the company! Just indicate your preference.Julie was my sister. We grew up very close. We were the best of friends all of her life. I watched her battle cancer for most of the years of our 40's. No matter how bad things got for her, she always had a smile on her face. She passed away two days after Christmas 2020, a few weeks short of her 48th birthday. She left behind a daughter, two sons a granddaughter and grandson and another grandson has recently come along.
