Virgiinia Gardening kutsuu sinut mukaan!Onko sinulla työn alla teos tai konsepti, jonka esittämistä haluaisit kokeilla? Kaipaatko tilaa, missä voisit kertoa omasta praktiikastasi tai ohjata siihen liittyvän työpajan? Haluatko keskustella näistä kollegojen kanssa?
Virgiinia Gardening on lämminhenkinen tanssi- ja esitystaiteen ammattilaisia yhteen tuova tapahtuma, missä taiteilijat voivat kertoa omasta praktiikastaan, esittää osia tekeillä olevasta teoksesta tai ohjata siihen liittyvän työpajan. Ehdotukset voivat olla uusia ideoita tai vanhoja edellisten teosten jäänteitä, jotka syystä tai toisesta eivät mahtuneet mukaan tai jäivät kesken. Jokaisen esityksen jälkeen fasilitoidaan keskustelu, jonka tavoitteena on harjoittaa palautteen antamista.
Gardening (puutarhanhoito) tarjoaa lähestymistavan luovaan prosessiin ja sen vaiheisiin: muun muassa ideointiin, kokeiluihin, reflektointiin, huolenpitoon, kitkemiseen ja esittämiseen. Virgiinia Gardening -tapahtumat ovat inspiroituneet vuodenkierrosta ja jokaiselle tapahtumalle on siihen liittyen oma teemansa: 28.2. tapahtuman teema on horrostaminen. Teemaa voi tulkita vapaasti.

Do you have a work or concept in progress that you would like to share?
Are you looking for a space where you could talk about your practice or give a workshop related to it? Would you like to discuss these with colleagues?
Virgiinia Gardening is a warm-hearted event that brings together professionals in dance and performance art. It is a space where artists can share their practice, present parts of a work in progress, or lead a related workshop. Proposals can include new ideas or remnants of past works that, for one reason or another, didn’t make it into a final piece or were left unfinished. After each performance/sharing, we facilitate a discussion with the aim of practicing gentle feedback.
Gardening offers a metaphorical approach to creative processes and their phases: including brainstorming, experimenting, reflecting, nurturing, weeding out, and presenting. Virgiinia Gardening events are inspired by the cycle of the seasons, and each event has a theme related to this. The theme for the event on February 28, 2025, is hibernation, which can be interpreted freely.
