About this Event
The symphonic season of the Italian Cultural Institute continues.
After the first appointment in January with the harp-piano “Duo Liaison”, on February 29th we will host the violin-piano “Duo D’Orazio-Nuti” who will perform music from the 19th and 20th centuries from compositions by Arvo Pärt “Spiegel im spiegel”, Beethoven “Sonata op.30 n.1”, Rota “Improvviso n.1 (A Sentimental Devil)”, Stravinsky “Suite Italienne”, Ravel “Sonata in G”.
Francesco D’Orazio‘s repertoire (violin) ranges from ancient music to classical, romantic and contemporary music. Of particular importance was Maestro D’Orazio’s collaboration with Luciano Berio, of whom he performed as world premiere “Divertimento for String Trio” at the Strasbourg Festival.
Giampaolo Nuti (piano) is the winner of numerous national piano competitions, and he regularly performs in important concert seasons and festivals both as a pianist and as a harpsichordist. In Nuti’s eclectic solo repertoire particular attention is paid to authors’ transcriptions, contemporary and less performed compositions.
