Vinyl Index presents Record Store Day 2025 @ Bow Market

The annual celebration of indie record stores is back on Saturday, April 12th for a fun-packed day of exclusive records*, event tees and totes, DJs spinning inside and out, music-inspired food & drinks, and more! We’ll continue the tradition with our partners in crime ANTI Designs, starring a new batch of Alfredo Rico-Dimas designs screen printed live along with a heavy dose of that good funk & soul in rotation by the Soulelujah DJs in the Bow Market courtyard.

This year, we’re also partnering with YOU!

Join us at the provisional “VI Record Lounge,” in the Upstairs at Bow event space where you can sign up for a 15 minute time slot to spin your own vinyl with friends - no experience needed. Listen to vinyl like never before over the dynamic and stylish VAS Audio Simba 4-Way Sound System courtesy of local DJ Secret Guerilla. Each interactive session is hosted by DJ friends of Vinyl Index - Salem Funk Club, DJ Knife, Allegra, LDER, Mint Pillow - setting the tone from their personal records while the Vinyl Index staff assists guests into the session and on how to use the equipment. The “VI Record Lounge” is open to the public for one day only, free to enter between 12pm-1am, will have plenty of seating, fresh cocktails by Nook plus a DIY printing press art project hosted by Bow Market compadre, Tiny Turns Paperie from 12pm-4pm. The records will keep spinning until late, so dive into the headnodic grooves of Mister Jason and T-Scraps from 8pm-10pm, followed by choice cumbia, reggae & salsa cuts from Secret Guerilla, Boston Bob Gibson and Heavy Sound & Vision until 1am. Food and drinks can flow from inside and out, so spend the whole day throughout Bow Market as we celebrate Record Store Day!

*Vinyl Index is open from 9am-11pm in Somerville and across the river at , the home to our satellite location in Jamaica Plain, from 8:30am-4pm. Choose which design, color and size you like and watch it get silk-screened right in front of your eyes! A limited amount will be on-hand, inside Vinyl Index at 9AM for early RSD shoppers.
