About this Event
Harlow Art Trust (HAT), commissioned by Harlow Council, presents Vinter House Commission: Meet the Shortlisted Artists at the Gibberd Gallery. This event invites the public to meet Barnaby Lewis, Diana Hare, and Ore Projects, the three shortlisted artists competing to create Harlow’s next piece of public art.
Funded through S106 funding from the redevelopment of Vinter House, River Way, the commission encourages artists to respond to the area’s distinctive blend of industry, nature, and heritage - from the nearby Roman temple at Templefields, dedicated to Minerva, to the recent discovery of a Roman dodecahedron in Newhall.
Visitors will be able to view the artists’ proposals, hear about their creative processes, and share their thoughts on what this new artwork could bring to Harlow’s evolving landscape. The displays will remain available for public viewing at the Gibberd Gallery, contributing to Harlow’s growing identity as a Cultural Capital and continuing its proud legacy as Harlow Sculpture Town.
