Attention Photographers!Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome will be hosting a night photo event on October 5, 2024. This is a rare opportunity to photograph the vintage aircraft at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome. Night engine-run photo shoots have become very popular with aviation photographers and are a unique way to look at aircraft. The resulting photos are dramatic, simple and clean.
Six aircraft will be positioned and lighted for a night engine run. The aircraft will be lighted one at a time with continuous source LED’s and run for approximately eight minutes each. This is ample time to photograph each aircraft from all angles and get that “disc effect” of the turning propeller.
Limited to 40 photographers.
About the Coordinator:
Tom Pawlesh will be leading and lighting this night event. Tom is a retired airline pilot with a lifetime love of aviation and photography, when he wasn’t flying airplanes he was photographing them.
IMPORTANT INFO:
This event is weather dependent. If inclement weather prevents us from putting on the event, your payment will then become a donation to support the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome, no refunds will be issued.
Arrive at 6:30pm for safety briefing, shooting will be from 7pm to 9:30pm.
