Phantasmagorical singer-songwriter, poet, writer, but also illusionist, showman and cultural operator. He debuted in 1990 with the album All'una e trentacinque circa, which followed the path of Paolo Conte and Tom Waits; it was awarded Targa Tenco Opera Prima, an award he would be given four other times in the following years for the Best Album.
Vinicio Capossela zählt zu den bekanntesten und vielseitigsten Musikern Italiens. Der in Hannover geborene und in Norditalien aufgewachsene Sänger liebt es mit der Sprache zu spielen und ist ein großartiger Erzähler, der sein Publikum durch seine eingängige Stimme nun schon seit mehr als 25 Jahren in seinen Bann zieht und verzaubert. Vinicio Capossela hat bereits unzählige Konzerte in seiner Heimat Italien und der restlichen Welt gespielt. Seit 1990 veröffentlichte er bereits 15 Alben.
