Want to learn how to prune your grapes? Join us for special Vineyard Tours - Feb 8 or Feb 15, 1-3 pm. Fee is $25 and includes a glass of wine or a wine tasting at the end. Our winemaker and grape grower with 36 years of experience and BS & MS degrees in Horticulture, Betsey Wittick, will take you on a special winter tour of our vineyards and introduce you to the principles of grape vine pruning. She will show you how to pick the right canes to produce this coming season's fruit and how to keep your vines from getting out of control. She will also show you the difference between working with young vines (training the structure) and older vines (maintaining their health.) At the end of the tour you will learn how to make and propagate your own grapes from cuttings. Bring your questions and dress for the winter weather! Sign up as space is limited.
