Linda Casey will explore the artist's passion for searching for his artistic ideals, stability, truth and life itself.
Van Gogh said,
‘ I put my heart and soul into my work and have lost my mind in the process!’
Van Gogh’s turbulent life forms part of the mythology surrounding the Dutch Post-Impressionist but his iconic paintings represent much more.
The deeply moving imagery, his distinctive painting techniques and use of colour reveal powerful emotions.
Linda Casey, an Independent Art Historian, will explore how this tortured soul and/or creative genius passionately searched for his artistic ideals, stability, truth and life itself.
Let’s see with ‘our’ eyes, what van Gogh reveals!
This event will take place in the library only.
