On 6th December, many children in the world wake up to find that St Nicholas has been overnight and left gifts for them. Join Harton Village - and Santa - to celebrate a community Christmas. There's live music from South Tyneside College music department in St Peter's Church, along with stalls, facepainting and refreshments, an inflatable snow globe and 'Frozen' slide, hotdogs, mulled wine and over the road at the Old Ship, Santa himself will be available for children's visits.BUT we'd love for it to be about community, so because it's celebrating St Nicholas/Santa Claus, please, if you can, bring a small gift or contribution to the Foodbank, Age Concern xmas shoeboxes, children's toy collection or for patients in hospital over Christmas. This helps us celebrate community by doing what St Nicholas did - gift giving for those in need - and remembering why Santa Claus is who he is. Collections at the pub and at church.
