About this Event

Welcome to Village All Writes at Normandy Village! These are lively, engaging, easy-going, positive writing experiences--plus BYO tasty refreshments--for up to twelve people. For about two hours (6 to 8pm) on some Friday evenings, we will write, share, offer appreciative responses, and repeat.

During a break near the middle of the experience, we will enjoy BYO drinks and snacks. (It's okay to bring extra to share if you like.) The All Write experience is offered free of charge, but donations are accepted to compensate the All Write leader(s) for their time and talent ($10 donation recommended; any donation amount, including zero, cheerfully accepted).

Village All Writes usually take place in or near the southeast gazebo at Normandy Village, located at 1100 Beech St. in Normal. From Beech Street just north of the intersection with Pine Street (look for the large blue wooden "Normandy Village" sign), turn east onto Normandy Drive. When the drive forks, bear right and park in the south parking lot on your right. In case of inclement weather, we hope to be able to offer an indoor space. Stay tuned!

Finally, please note that Normandy Village is a smoke-free, tobacco-free, and weapon-free private property. Remember the three rules of Normandy Village: 1. Be safe; 2. Be kind; 3. Have fun!

As you have probably noticed from the description, we've streamlined the event so now participants bring their own snacks and drinks (sharing is okay). This shift allows us to run the All Writes strictly on voluntary donations and focus more on writing and sharing.
