O normálních věcech, kámošství, točení se ve vzpomínkách na dětství, životních příbězích, mentálních mapách, identitě, původu a kořenech… Autorky pracují s textem, mluveným slovem, ručními pracemi a videem. K výstavě přistupují jako k archivu deníkových zápisků, automatických básní, dokumentárních a terénních nahrávek. S prostorem pracují jako s kartografickým zápisem, ve kterém se informace ukazují v nových nebo smyšlených příbuznostech.
Podle filozofa Alfreda Korzybskieho „mapa není území“. Se slovy a jazykem je to podobně – k nedorozumění dochází, když předpokládáme, že slova přesně vyjadřují jejich zamýšlený význam.
Tvorba Viktorie a Marii v tomto kontextu funguje jako území mapující uměleckou praxi, životní cestu a vzájemné kamarádství. Ale stejně jako mapa není územím, tak ani slova nejsou tím, o čem vypovídají. Československo možná stále existuje. Ale jenom v Brně.
Viktória Citráková
se pohybuje mezi výtvarným uměním, literaturou a divadlem. Nejčastěji pracuje s volným psaním, vizuální poezii a performance. Své texty tvoří v různých site-specific situacích.
Maria Neal
je studentkou FaVU, pracuje především s textilem a zvukem (field recording, sampling). Skrze hravé zkoumání současné společensko-politické situace kolem sebe se noří do vlastního i kolektivního nevědomí.
Akce se uskuteční za finanční podpory statutárního města Brna.

About normal things, camaraderie, spinning in childhood memories, life stories, mental maps, identity, origins and roots... The artists work with text, spoken word, handmade works and video. They approach the exhibition as an archive of diary entries, automatic poems, documentary and field recordings. They work with space as a cartographic record in which information appears in new or fictional affinities.
According to the philosopher Alfred Korzybski, "a map is not a territory". It is similar with words and language - misunderstanding occurs when we assume that words accurately convey their intended meaning.
In this context, Victoria and Maria's work functions as a territory mapping their artistic practice, life journey and mutual friendship. But just as a map is not a territory, neither are words what they say. Czechoslovakia may still exist. But only in Brno.
Viktória Citráková
...works between visual arts, literature and theatre. Most often she works with free writing, visual poetry and performance. She creates her texts in various site-specific situations.
Maria Neal
is a student at FaVU, she works mainly with textiles and sound (field recording, sampling). Through a playful exploration of the contemporary socio-political situation around her, she delves into her own and the collective unconscious.
The event will take place with the financial support of the Statutory City of Brno.
