Year 2 : Games of the Gods
This year, four wanderers, Odin, Loki, Freya and Thor have decided that Hedeby will be site of a great contest - which will determine which clan is the most glorious! The gods have each chosen a clan to patronize, Odin - Raven, Loki - Wolf, Freya - Dragon and Thor - Bear. Earn glory for your clan through contests, feats of strength and enjoy a festival of legendary proportions!
On November 15th, 2025 AD Castle Bridge will transform into Hedeby, Denmark, and Vikings from all over the globe will gather for feasting, fighting and fun! Throughout the day, it will be a family friendly celebration, akin to a Renaissance festival, but celebrating all things Viking - and than - at sundown, we shall light our Viking Ship pyre, ushering in the evening celebration - an adults only, epic night of music and mayhem, featuring MAGGIE MOON and TORDENKOR!
During the day, enjoy:
Mead and Meat: Feast upon delicious mead from Castle Bridge's mead stores, and fill your bellies on delicious food, such as Turkey Legs and more!
Viking Ship Pyre: As the sun sets on the fairgrounds, a life-sized pyre of a Viking ship shall be lit, signaling the transition from the day's events to the evening's revelries!
Marvelous Metagame: All participants are invited to take part in the contest to elect the next Jarl, by earning glory coins for their clan!
All Ages Extravaganza: By Baldur's Beard, there is something for everyone, with an entire KIDGARD section for the littlest Vikings to play! Events throughout the day, kid parade and petting zoo!
ROLL 4 RAGNAROK: Viking themed Dungeons and Dragons experience with DM Aiden Doss.
Sword fighting: Watch LIVE STEEL Sword fighting Expos from KC Banished Buhurt
Boffer Battles: Dagorhir & Boffer Battles allow you to get in the action and fight your fellow warriors. Not interested in battling? Have no fear, practice your skills at the axe throwing booth.
Immersive Actors and Storytelling: Our core of talented and tricky actors shall be bringing to life a variety of characters from the Viking age to immerse and entertain you!
Historical Hedeby: Learn the real life history of Vikings at our reenactment village!
Valorous Vendors: Artisans, artists, and merry merchants shall be selling their wares throughout the festival
Epic Live Music: The evening will culminate with a sky shattering concert, featuring TORDENKOR, MAD MAUDLYN AND THE BEDLAM BOYS, Clearly Guilty and MAGGIE MOON, skalds of insane skill!
Unique Performances: Various performers to watch throughout the day will be set all over the grounds. See sword dancers, belly dancers, fire spinners and more!
