Enjoy a one-on-one craft workshop where you can make your own replica of a piece of Viking history.
As part of the Skeggir’s Heimr Viking Experience at The Village Church Farm Museum, Lindissi CIC, Scarlet Impressions and Forged in Hellheim are working together to provide hands-on workshops designed to provide a taste of Viking crafts and set to a background of a Viking camp, with the sights and sounds of Viking life.
Lindissi CIC is offering a ceramics workshop where you can make Viking or Saxon pottery in simple household forms such as lamps and cups. These will later be fired and sent on to you as finished items. An introduction to wood fired kilns will also be included.
Scarlet impressions is offering a glass bead making workshop, using Scarlet’s extensive research to make a historically accurate glass bead tailored to your particular historical or regional interests.
Forged in Hellheim is offering a white metal working (silversmithing) workshop that will take you through the process of making a Mjolnir pendant.
Each of these workshops will take between 30 minutes and 1 hour.
Workshop ticket price also includes entry into the Skeggir’s Heimr event.
