The venerated Vienna Philharmonic begins its two-night engagement in Hayes Hall with a thrilling program led by conductor Andris Nelsons. Iconic pianist Lang Lang joins the orchestra for Bartók’s lyrical Piano Concerto No. 3, followed by Mahler’s sweeping and emotionally charged First Symphony, known as the “Titan.”The Vienna Philharmonic then returns for the second night of its Hayes Hall engagement with conductor Andris Nelsons leading a spirited program featuring Mozart’s vibrant Symphony No. 36, “Linz,” and Dvořák’s folk-infused Symphony No. 6 — two works brimming with charm, color and rhythmic vitality.
Tickets include same-day admission to The Baker Museum (10am-7:30pm). In addition, the doors to Hayes Hall will open 90 minutes prior to these performances. Arrive early to enjoy the exhibitions and light fare available at Heidi's Place.
