Welcome to the Videoland Film Collective: a queer film series at the Historic Masonic Temple, and a celebration of physical media and film itself! Join us at 5:30pm with your VHS tapes, DVDs, Laserdiscs, and other physical media in tow, and swap with other likeminded movie heads! Then join us at 6:30 for our feature presentation.We're closing out our 2025 season of queer films with the classic documentary and cultural reset, 1990's Paris is Burning. This classic documentary chronicles the lives of drag queens and ballroom performers living in New York in the 1980s, touching on themes like poverty, racism, and finding community in the face of hardship. Rated R.
Concessions will be available for purchase. Tickets are $5 to see the film (but the movie swap is free to enter).
Film will be shown with captions on for our Deaf and hard-of-hearing audience.
Please note that due to stairs leading to the entrance, as well as to the restrooms, the HMT may not be accessible for all.
