Welcome to the Videoland Film Collective: a queer film series at the Historic Masonic Temple of Bay City, and a celebration of physical media and film itself! Join us at 5:30pm with your VHS tapes, DVDs, Laserdiscs, and other physical media in tow, and swap with other likeminded movie heads! Then join us at 6:30 for our feature presentation.This month's selection is the 1999 cult comedy classic, But I'm a Cheerleader. When popular cheerleader Megan (Natasha Lyonne) is sent to a conversion boot camp for gay teens, she meets the rebellious punk of her dreams (Clea DuVall) and hijinks ensue. Also starring Cathy Moriarty, RuPaul, and a whole host of others. Rated R.
Concessions will be available for purchase. Tickets are $5 to see the film (but the movie swap is free to enter).
Film will be shown with captions on for our Deaf and hard-of-hearing audience.
Please note that due to stairs leading to the entrance, as well as to the restrooms, the HMT may not be accessible for all.
