The Video Skills Bootcamps are face-to-face training designed to give you professional competence in video editing and film production using professional editing software Premiere Pro.
Training is class room based at the Creative Process training centre in central Brighton with industry trainers.
Schedule:
All sessions are 10:00-17:00, on Thursdays and Fridays between 16th January and 7th March - you must be available for all 16 sessions
What are Video Bootcamps?
Video Skills Bootcamps are face to face sessions that take place in our fully equipped video production lounge on Kensington Street in the heart of the North Laines. Open to all they will teach you how to take the next step towards a successful video/editing career. Whether you are a YouTuber, Insta-reeler, vlogger, business owner or aspiring filmmaker, you will learn how to make professional videos with this course. High spec imacs, editing software and the camera equipment all provided!
Training includes how to create an effective pitch to a potential client to help land more regular production work. Learn some of the tricks of the trade that will help your video content stand out from the crowd.

The Video Skills Bootcamps cover everything from coming up with great video ideas, executing them in production and post-production, and distributing them to a wide audience online via smartphone, webcam, DSLR, or professional camera.

The Video Digital Skills Bootcamps at a glance:
- Completed in person at our Mac Training Centre in central Brighton
- Achieve a certificate to demonstrate your professional competence
- The programme is is valued at £2,500 but free if you are self-employed/freelance or unemployed. SMEs pay a 10% contribution. Large employers pay 30%.
Eligibility and how we like to work:
Participant feedback is excellent but it is designed to challenge and stretch. To be accepted onto the programme:
• Aged 19 or above as of 31st July 2024
• Able to commit to the full course
• Resident in the UK or EU for the last 3 years (to qualify for the funding)
• Motivated and ready to secure a job and/or develop new digital and commercial skills
• Basic to good level of IT and digital literacy and be Mac or PC proficient
• Minimum C1 level of English language proficiency
• Able to work in a team, on a collaborative basis, under pressure and to deadlines
• Good people skills and be mindful and respectful of how others learn (as well as an awareness that this may be different to how you learn)
• Respectful of people from different backgrounds, race, religion or gender orientation
• Prepared to take part in a way which contributes to the positive experience and enjoyment of the rest of the group
• Tell us about any additional learning needs you may have so we can assess if the Skills Bootcamps is suitable for you
