Ages 8-11Play and learning go hand in hand as students conceptualize, design, and create an original computer game. Led by Dennis McCorry, Digital Games Hub Coordinator at the Rochester Institute of Technology MAGIC Center, children can enjoy a Video Game Creation Workshop that provides a window into STEM-based career fields and encourages a lifelong love of play. Over five sessions, participants will learn about game design and rules, visual art and animation, and audio to create their game. Previous programming or coding experience is not required. Tickets for all four sessions: $128 (includes child and adult). Space is limited per session. Early registration is encouraged.
