This spring, AURORA and Downtown Dallas, Inc. are thrilled to present Video Art Night (VAN) in celebration of Dallas Arts Month. The fourth edition of this immersive, one-night exhibition of moving image in an outdoor public setting will take place on Friday, April 11th, 2025, from 6 to 10 pm in Downtown Dallas.
This year, AURORA's annual showcase of outstanding talent will include works from both regional and national artists, chosen by AURORA's selection committee through an open call. Artists can submit their video artworks by February 7th, 2025 at 11:59pm CST. Through innovative artistic approaches, the selected proposals will be works responding to the 2025 AURORA theme, In_Common, which draws on the shared experiences that unite us as individuals and communities, whether that be through societal challenges we face or our collective hopes for the future.
Free and open to the public, VAN redefines artistic presentation, providing increased accessibility and fostering a deeper comprehension of the intersection between art, technology, community, and the urban landscape. Echoing AURORA's mission, it aims to inspire a more accessible and inclusive future of art and technology by supporting the choices of today's artists and connecting diverse communities through transformative public art experiences.
