On Monday 8th September 2025, a special full gun salute will be fired from the Saluting Battery in Valletta at 12.00hrs to mark Victory Day - the day on which Malta commemorates three main military victories on the enemy - 1565 against the Ottomans, 1800 against the French and 1943 against the Axis forces. Guided tours of the Saluting Battery will be offered at 10.15, 11.15 and 12.15hrs. Entrance: €3 Adults, €1 u/16 year olds and free for FWA paid up members.The Saluting Battery provides an excellent vantage point to watch the traditional rowing boat competition, known as the "Tal-Vitorja regatta," which takes place in the Grand Harbour.
