In this immersive workshop, you'll have the opportunity to craft your own tale of lavish Victorian glamour by designing a bespoke set of cards, envelopes, and gift tags that recreate the fashions of ritzy balls, grand soirees, and elegant operas enjoyed by the Victorian upper class.
With access to an array of antique materials from the era, such as delicate lace, intricate ribbons, vintage advertisements, postage stamps, and sewing patterns, you'll assemble your designs onto pre-dyed and distressed cards, evoking the charm and age of a bygone era.
Tie your completed cards onto a beautifully wrapped gift with ribbons and lace, and you'll be able to share a piece of this enchanting world of elegance and refinement with friends who appreciate such old-world charms as found in these cards and in the pages of a Jane Austen or Emily Bronte novel.
We provide all the materials so you can sit back, relax, and let your creativity soar.
In this hands-on workshop we will:
- Learn the art of aging paper to add depth and character
- Design cards using vintage elements
- Apply embellishments like stitching, stamping, buttons & ribbbons to cards
- Learn more about what life was like in this era
You will take home a set of Victorian Era styled greeting cards and enjoy listening to music from the era as you craft. Drift away back in time for the afternoon in lovely Docklands.
