Come check it out if you are in town, 11am-5pm in Nootka Court (633 Courtney St, Victoria BC). There will be a Tea Symposium in Lower Nootka Court in the school and it will be streamed again this year to the Tea Society's YouTube channel, with specialists speaking on ancient tea, Japanese tea traditions and tea hunting at origin!
We have experts on all things tea from all corners of the world coming to our festival! A Kung Fu Tea Championship! Want to embark on the art of tea ceremonies and test your skills? Drink up! Our beloved Tea Merchant Educators, some long time contributors and some brand new are coming your way to share their wisdom, open heart and unique tea goodies. Want to experience a traditional tea ceremony? We got you covered! To experience all things tea and to be apart of our thriving tea community come to the festival and celebrate your curiosities and passion for tea!.
There is a farmer's market style Tea Fair throughout the court with tea educators from Vancouver Island, Vancouver and elsewhere such as @O5Tea, @CloudwalkerTea and @JagaSilk. There will be a Tea Ceramics Museum set up like an art gallery as well as this will be the 3rd year of the World Tea Championships. Tea to drink from Japan, China, South Korea, Bhutan, internationally, and local plants!
The driving force behind the festival is a desire to share specialty tea with the world, with a focus on farmer direct connections and careful preparation methods. There will be something for everyone and admission is a suggested minimum donation of $15~$25 to the International Tea Appreciation Society that puts on the festival.
The Festival is BYOTc (Bring Your Own Teacup) but a small selection will be available by donation at entry. Come check out the 9th annual Victoria Tea Festival Revival on October 5th! More details at victeafestrevival.org
