Formed amongst the thriving musical counterculture of Los Angeles’ Laurel Canyon in the early 1970s, the Eagles rose to prominence first reflecting the hippie sounds of Boomer folk music, then later setting their elaborate stories describing 70s-80s era hedonism to the heavier sounds of electric rock and contemporary country.
