Formed in 1984, Sonoma county’s groove/thrash/bad-acid/punk/noise/metal/samba trio Victims Family has earned a reputation as one of the most consistently interesting bands in the underground. Musically diverse and lyrically ironic and topical, the group has become known for its prodigious displays: intense, impassioned playing while maintaining a sense of humor when singing about war, mass-murder, Barbara Walters, David Korsesh, greed, disease, soggy cereal, white bread, CIA drug smuggling, suicide, religious dogma, psychoanalysis, roommates from hell, unrequited love, and the music industry, among other things.

Described by the legendary Lydia Lunch as “harsh, hard...catchy, weird, arty" and "a very unique blend that defies category,” Portland's Nasalrod is a collaborative vision. The band is currently performing its frenetic act in support of their new split 12" record with Bay Area luminaries Victims Family. Armed with a notoriously frantic live show, Nasalrod has found that originality and insanity can go hand in hand. Lead singer Chairman’s sneering, kooky yet soulful vocals soar over a sound that is simultaneously melodic, violent and convulsive. Spit Stix (founding member of punk legends FEAR), guitarist Mustin Douch, and bassist Mandy Morgan provide a sonic backdrop that is the demented and freakish heart of the band.

Darsombra
Darsombra is a cinematic conceptual rock band from Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Featuring composer Brian Daniloski on guitar, bass, and vocals, and filmmaker Ann Everton on synth, vocals, percussion, and projections, Darsombra is internationally known for walking the line between glam-prog-psych-stoner metal and site-specific installation performance art. Live, their carefully crafted songs and videos create a hallucinogenic synesthesia for the audience. They call their sound "trans-apocalyptic galaxy rock": dynamic, kaleidoscopic music for people transitioning through endtimes and dreaming of space.
