The Garden District Book Shop is thrilled to announce that Author Vicki Salloum will be at the shop January 11 to celebrate her new book A Gathering Place.
The event will begin at 5:00 PM. Afterwards, she will be available to personalize copies of her book.
ABOUT THE BOOK
When 81-year-old Blue Hamieh-a devout Lebanese Catholic-hears the Virgin Mary's voice to create a "gathering place" in New Orleans, she walks away from everything-her Mississippi home, her family's pleas, and all common sense.
It's 2009. Katrina's wreckage still scars the Gulf Coast as well as the city of New Orleans.
