VIC PRIDE DAY - SUN 9 FEB 12pm-1amAgain our clutch purse is overflowing with entertainment for another Pride Day on Smith street.
Kicking off from 12pm we get to pouring our famous and big 420ml - FROZEN MARGARITAS (be warned-they do hit) followed soon after with 'An Audience with KYLIE ' on the big screen. We'll keep the globe firing on the projector while we green ourselves up and await the tornado to take us to the Emerald City for a venue sing a long screening of WICKED!! This will make us popular!
At 6pm the stage is open to anyone wanting to lip sync a song of their choice for 90 secs in our casual 'GIMME LIP' competition . Win the applause of the audience to walk away with $100 cash and a $50 bar voucher. No need to be in costume or anything it is a very casual affair and the only skill being judged by the audience will be 'who nailed their lip sync'!
As the sun lowers this year for our twilight session, we are so thrilled to announce that as part of it's 50th Anniversary year we present our feature event for the day - THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW with LIVE Shadow Cast Performance from The Pelvic Thrusts.
A huge day of entertainment indeed….but what - there’s even more.??? Yep.
Moments after leaving Transylvania around 10pm we part the curtains yet again for our ‘EARLY’- LATE NIGHT SHOW' hosted by Ruby Slippers & Tash York who have gathered an assortment of variety acts to perform 2 more camp shows.
After which, the curtains may have closed for the day on stage but there is no need to be calling it a night just yet, as we then dim the lights, fire up the smoke machine, kick up our heels and hit the polished concrete for a guaranteed mix of our favourite queer pop tunes to dance til we hear the trucks arriving outside to clean up what will no doubt be another MASSIVE Victoria Pride Day.
What happens when the street party ends after 8pm....everyone runs to the bars and clubs and they hit capacity very fast. Instead of lining up for ever and perhaps not even getting in anywhere, this year you can ensure your entry with a 'Skip the Queue' ticket. It will be the best $13 you will have spent for the day.

Otherwise there is no entry fee to attend any part of our PRIDE Day though this year we are requesting guests consider making a donation toward the huge night of entertainment costs. Any amount donated will help cover the fees of our 16 performers, 2 techs, runner and other show costs for the night.
If you are not in a position to make such donation please know you are absolutely still more than welcome into our home to join us and everyone else to cheer and holler for what is a bloody exceptional line up of local queer talent.
